FUNCTIONS
Ministry of Federal Territories
The Ministry of Federal Territories is responsible for planning, managing, implementing, monitoring,
and evaluate sustainable progress and development with a focus on:
- The Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur as the capital of Malaysia, and a world -class city;
- The Federal Territory of Putrajaya as a managed Federal Government Administrative Center, enthusiastic and energetic, as well as prosperous;
- Federal Territory of Labuan as a business center, oil and gas hub, financial center international as well as developed, beautiful and prosperous tourist destinations;
- Preparation of policies on Federal Territory affairs, as well as spearheading planning sustainable development;
- The advancement, development and cultivating of excellent sports in the Federal Territory;
- Coordination of planning for the Federal Territory; and
- Leader of sustainable physical, economic, social and environmental development through collaboration inclusive strategy.

Federal Government Ministers Order (No.3) 2020 ["P.U. (A) 201 ') provides that the Minister
Federal Territories as well as the Deputy Minister of Federal Territories are charged with responsibility
regarding the following departments/ matters:
- Putrajaya Corporation;
- Labuan Corporation;
- Federal Territory Sports Council;
- Kampong Bharu Development Corporation;
- Native Court of the Federal Territory of Labuan;
- Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL): and
- Federal Territory Land and Mines Office (PTGWP).
